With more than 20 years experience in dressmaking we are skilled in every fabric and any style from silk shirts to leather jackets, beaded dresses to lace ball gowns. From the length of your favourite skirt to the break in your trouser leg, we can assist you with all your requirements.

Alterations

At Black Butterfly we can alter all types of dresses: wedding dress, cocktail dress, ball gown ,evening gown, coats, shirts, trousers, and jackets .We can take accurate body measurements to make sure that you achieve the perfect fit. All garment alterations are carried out in our Nottingham alteration workshop.

Remodelling

Our valued remodelling service brings new life into forlorn dresses - simply bring them in and we will be happy to offer you great ideas of making your dresses look modern and stylish.

• If you have bought dress or jacket that doesn’t fit quite right we can change the length, neckline or sleeves we can completely re-style it in a way that fit you perfectly.
• If you’ve lost or gained weight since purchasing a dress and need your dress altered, just come in our workshop so we can make the necessary alterations.

Very few of us a lucky enough to buy a suit that fits perfectly so our fitting service is most often a must for those who wish to have a tailored fitting suit. Being tailors we have extensive experience in working with all body shapes and garment types, so we can address your concerns, provide guidance and tailor your suit.

Garment Fitting

Precise body measurements are the key to obtain a good fit in any garment. Depending on whether the garment is being created or altered a number of body measurements are required in order to achieve the perfect fit of your garment.
